Secure File Transfer

We are committed to data security. That's why we take special care when it comes to file transfer. We have both FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and browser-based functionalities to ensure safe transfer. FTP establishes a connection between your computer and our server to transfer files to us and back. We provide you with the software and training to ensure that the system works smoothly. We make use of 256 bit AES encryption for secure transfer of files over the Internet (using Internet Explorer, Netscape and so on).

• No information leaves the transcription department. We do not use home-based transcription services
• All the external drives, including floppy disk drives, are disabled on each computer. Personnel are not allowed to bring in floppies or electronic devices including laptops, PDA, or written documents
• All computers are password protected
• Firewalls and antivirus software on all computers are updated on a daily basis
• Hard copies of notes and copies of legal information including document schedules are shredded on site
• Complete monthly back-ups of computer systems are stored under lock and key in our premises. Technical evaluations are performed on a routine basis ensuring all systems meet or exceed specified security requirements
• All lockers used for storage are password protected. None of transcriber-level computers have Internet access
• We ensure a minimum of 128-bit encryption for all transferred files
